Darwin International Airport Master Plan approved

FEDERAL Infrastructure and Transport Minister, Anthony Albanese, has approved Darwin International Airport's 2010 Master Plan.

Mr Albanese said the master plan sets out the strategic direction of the airport for the next two decades.

Two towers planned for Darwin city

A CONSORTIUM wants to build two 24-storey residential and commercial buildings on the edge of Darwin city centre, creating a total of 120 homes, as well as offices and shops.

The project, reported to cost up to $80 million, is being developed by a new consortium called JJH Developments.

The proposed site for the development is the old railway corridor running below McMinn Street to the Daly Street bridge, on the edge of Darwin's city centre.
